Nordkette Cable Car: The Innsbruck City Ski Resort

Innsbruck skiing: Especially for advanced skiers. The Nordkettenbahn takes Innsbruck ski holidaymakers from Innsbruck city centre to the Hafelekar at 2,260 metres in 20 minutes. Adrenaline addicts plunge down the Karrinne with its 70 per cent gradient on one of the steepest downhill runs in Europe. On the Seegrube, snwoboarders meet in the Incity-Snowpark Skylinepark. Party in the evening at the Cloud 9 Igloo Bar. Legendary. The Seegrube restaurant not only offers good food on the slopes, but also a spectacular view over the Inn Valley. Just outside the city lies the Axamer Lizum at 2340 metres altitude with over 40 kilometres of pistes and 9 lifts. The largest Innsbruck ski area. For skiers of all levels. Perfectly groomed Olympic slopes are perfect for carving. The extensive freeride area is a hot sport for powder fans and freeriders. Freestylers and snowboarders will find what they are looking for in the Golden Roofpark. Skiing in Innsbruck for families. Manageable. The small Muttereralm family ski area is just a stone's throw from Innsbruck. Starting point for the mountain runs - the villages of Mutters and Götzens. Beautiful practice slopes for beginners and returning skiers, varied family downhill runs, 3 toboggan runs, one of the most beautiful forest downhill runs in Austria (Götzener Abfahrt) and slalom race course from the "Pfriemesköpfel" for professional skiers. The Playground Kinderland is located directly at the Muttereralmbahn mountain station. Here skiers will find a varied selection of slopes of all levels. Snowboarders and freestylers look forward to the KPark. Glungezer Ski Resort: Unspoilt Innsbruck Ski Area

The Glungezer panoramic ski area offers skiing fun for skiers of all levels in a natural atmosphere. Surrounded by the untouched nature of the Tux Alps. 12km from the provincial capital Innsbruck. With a length of 15km and a difference in altitude of 1360 metres, you will find one of the longest downhill runs in Austria here. The starting point is the highest mountain station at 2,304 metres above sea level with a fantastic view of the Nordkette all the way down to Tulfes. At the middle station you will find a practice lift with a wide ski meadow. "Klumpern" on single-runner toboggans offers unique fun for young and old. The ski area near Innsbruck also offers a wide range of cross-country trails, numerous winter hiking trails and many opportunities for freestylers and snowboarders.

Cosy, sunny skiing area. Charming for leisurely skiers, ski tourers and families. Located in the Inn valley, 12km from Innsbruck. Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, hiking and ski touring. A total of 17km of long piste network offers a varied mix of difficulty levels and ski routes. For all levels of ability. The Bergbahnen Oberperfuss - Rangger Köpfl ski area is easy to reach and ideal for skiing, especially for children. A Kidspark offers a magic carpet and practice lift for the first attempts at boarding. For snowboarders and freeskiers there is a soft fun park near the mountain station. Night skiing takes place twice a week and 8km of the 10km toboggan run is floodlit.

Ski Resort Schlick 2000: Small, manageable Innsbruck Ski Area

The largest ski area in the Stubaital, but small and manageable overall. The Schlick 2000 ski area is half an hour's drive from Innsbruck and extends over the Schlick high valley and the 2140 metre high Kreuzjoch. Despite its manageable size, the ski area offers very good conditions for families, ski tourers, freeriders, snowboarders and racers. Slopes of all levels of difficulty, Big Ron`s Kinderland with children`s lift, magic carpets and ski carousel, a snow park for freestylers and boarders, a Free Nature Park with natural halfpipe, a high-altitude cross-country ski trail, a speed track and beautiful freerider routes on the Kreuzjoch.

Stubai Glacier: Innsbruck Glacier Ski Area

The largest glacier ski area in the whole of Austria. Accessible from Innsbruck in 50 minutes by car. Stubai Glacier offers a huge selection of natural snow slopes for all levels and ages. In the view of 109 three-thousand metre peaks! The highest piste reaches up to 3200 metres in altitude. Experienced skiers will find variety on numerous black and red pistes and a 10-kilometre-long valley run. The ski area is also considered family-friendly. With the Big Family Ski-Camp Kinderland and the BIG Family Slopestyle Funpark for children, even the little skiers are in good hands. The XXL Snowpark Stubai Zoo and 13 freeride runs off the marked slopes are a paradise for freeriders and snowboarders. In addition, a 200-metre-long ice grotto, the gourmet restaurant Schaufelspitz as the highest gourmet restaurant in the Alps and a separate children's restaurant are all enticing.
