Nostalgic. Romantic. Traditional. The Christmas market in Innsbruck's old town is the oldest and largest. Against the impressive backdrop of the Golden Roof. Under a mighty Christmas tree. Over 70 stalls with arts and crafts, woollen goods, Christmas tree decorations, souvenirs and souvenirs. Tower brass bands play traditional Christmas music from the Golden Roof (from 15.11. to 23.12., daily 5.30 p.m.). In the Fairytale and Giants' Street (Kiebachgasse), young and old are whisked away into a world of legends and fairytales. From a viewing platform you have a wonderful view over the old town and the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Market.

The Christmas market on the market square directly next to the Inn River is perfect for families. During Advent, the market square is transformed into a Tyrolean village with 60 stalls. A varied children's programme from Punch and Judy shows and fairy tale sessions to a petting zoo and a nostalgic ring game. Carved figures take young visitors around in circles. The 14m high Christmas tree made of Swarovski crystals outshines the entire Advent market on the Inn.
